Andrew Jackson’s Living Room

I wasn’t supposed to take this photo according to the folks at The Hermitage. Since I didn’t use a flash the lady didn’t realize that I had already taken a shot. That’s just how I roll.

Jason,
I am the Director of Preservation and Collections at The Hermitage. We are very upset about your blantant flaunting of our rules here at The Hermitage. We have contacted our attorneys about this and we expect you’ll pull this picture down immediatley. Soon,we will have to ban cameras from the property all together to prevent individuals such as yourself from ruining everyone else’s enjoyment.
BTW, we are just kidding, that is how we roll. Hope you enjoyed your vist.

Everybody: Turns out the folks over at The Hermitage (Andrew Jackson’s preserved home in Nashville, Tennessee) are very cool. Cool enough to joke with me about legal prosecution . . . which wasn’t all that funny until I realized that they were joking. Anyway, I DID in fact enjoy my visit to The Hermitage. The place is home to an interesting story in the history of the U.S.A.. They also have an excellent website where you can learn more about it: thehermitage.com.
